Merlin Guild gives you powerful, self-hosted tooling. With that comes responsibility for how you use it and how you protect yourself. This page covers the burner wallet policy and the rules of the road.
Burner wallet policy
Be as paranoid as we are. Never use your main wallets with new software, including this one. Generate fresh burner wallets inside the app, fund them with a small amount, and test the features yourself first. Don’t trust, verify.
Test before you scale
Start small. Run a single trade or a short mix on a burner wallet with a tiny amount before you commit real funds or run anything in bulk. Confirm the results on-chain so you know exactly how the app behaves.
Disclaimer
Merlin Guild is provided for research and educational purposes. It must not be used for market manipulation or any illegal activity. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws and regulations that apply to you.
Protect your secrets
Your private keys and master password are yours alone to guard. Merlin Guild will never ask for them over chat, email, or direct message. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you.
Good practices
- Generate new burner wallets for any first test rather than importing a main wallet.
- Fund tests with small amounts that you can afford to lose while learning.
- Keep your master password and any recovery information in a secure, offline place.
- Verify that your intended use is lawful where you live before trading.
