Your license key
When you buy Merlin Guild, you receive a license key. It authorizes downloading the app and unlocks features inside it. Keep the key somewhere safe, like a password manager, because you need it whenever you install on a machine.
Reinstalling
To install on a new machine or after removing the app, run the install command again and provide your license key when prompted. There is no account to recover; the key is what proves your purchase.
How updates work
There is no background auto-updater, so updates never happen behind your back. When you want the latest version, run the same install command again. If your license is still valid, the prompt for your key is skipped and the newest version installs after you approve the standard system prompt.
Works offline after install
Once installed, the app does not need a constant connection to keep working or to verify your license. It enforces licensing on your own device rather than phoning home, so you can use it offline.
If your license stops working
If your key was revoked or its download window has ended, the installer will ask for a new key. Contact support to renew your license, then re-run the install command.
